Slow-made, with love
Penie Knits began with a ball of sage wool, a cup of tea and a pair of bamboo needles. Today every piece is still knit by hand — one stitch at a time, in small batches, with natural fibres.
We believe the best knitwear is made for someone. That's why we built the Design Studio: so you can choose the wool, the colours and the fit, and see your piece before we cast on.

Thick, squishy stitches knit on big needles.
Wool care
So it lasts for years
- · Hand wash in cool water with a gentle wool wash.
- · Never wring — press the water out softly in a towel.
- · Dry flat in shape, away from direct sun and heat.
- · Store folded (not hung) with a sprig of cedar or lavender.
